A HardWon Victory This is an excellent history of the women’s suffrage movement in the Cntury States, focused on the period from to Very good overview, with enough personal notes to draw the reader in. For sheer drama the suffrage movement has few equals in modern American political history.

I am not going to meddle with your beliefs. All I say is examine, inquire, look into the nature of things. Both Anne and Abraham Flexner were feminists who supported passage of the Nineteenth Amendment strughle the United States Constitution and both marched in the New York woman suffrage parade.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the history of women’s rights.
